The Crime Stoppers Society of Prince George will be hosting a public shredding event at the end of the month.
Past President, Jack Hooper states any old documents with valuable information can be torn to bits. “Bank statements, past due tax forms and basically anything with your personal information you don’t need anymore.”
Initiatives like this one can prove to be a big deal for the group. “Events like this one and the garage sale are needed for donations because we are a not-for-profit so we have to raise our own money in order to pay tips. We have to raise that money ourselves and put it in our bank account.”
It takes place on Saturday, April 30th from 10 am to 2 pm from the Wal-Mart parking lot.
