Vote on East Line Activity Centre set for the weekend

A vote on the how to pay for the East Line Activity Centre is set to go Saturday.

Residents from Willow River to Upper Fraser will decide if they want to be pay for the operating costs of the hall set to open this fall.

Area F Director Kevin Dunphy says if residents vote yes, they will share the costs with the school district.

Residents can cast a ballot at the Willow River Fire Hall or Aleza Lake between 8 am to 8 pm Saturday.

Update Sunday night: Fire at Nechako Bottle Depot on First Avenue has been put out

Prince George Fire Rescue and the RCMP are on the scene of a structure fire along First Avenue. Mounties have closed a large portion of First Avenue as crews battle the blaze.
