The Prince George Fire Centre is pleased to announce there was no fire activity within city limits.
That’s music to the ears of Fire Information Officer, Amanda Reynolds.
“We are very pleased and fortunate people are listening to the category 2 open fire ban in Prince George and the entire fire centre and we are asking people to continue following these rules.”
The warm spell is expected to continue throughout the week with sunshine and expected highs of 22,27, and 28 from Friday to Sunday.
Warm, dry and windy conditions led to several wildfires in the Peace Region on Saturday.
The Siphon Creek blaze still has an evacuation alert along with two new wildfires east of Fort St. John in the Voight Creek and Clearview areas which have fire’s 10 to 12 hectares respectively.
