Downtown PG continues to get a facelift

The city’s downtown core is continuing to get a make over.

Many businesses have been applying for seed money to update their facades from the organization Downtown PG.

Executive Director Carla Johnston says they have $40,000 in funds to hand out.

Johnston says they hope to fund a dozen projects before the year is out.

She says business can keep applying for $5,000 grants by contacting Downtown PG.

OCP back for public hearing on Wednesday

Prince George Fire Rescue and the RCMP are on the scene of a structure fire along First Avenue. Mounties have closed a large portion of First Avenue as crews battle the blaze.
