People who previously spent time in jail got back on their feet thanks to CNC’s Reintegration Program.
13 of the 16 participants completed the program and went through several job ready hoops according to Acting Dean of Community Education Lynn Jest.
“They went through job readiness training in self-management and life skills, computer skills, career preparation and they certainly went through a lot of workplace certificates like Occupational First-Aid and Spill Management.”
The program also enables two participants to enter the college’s Trades Training Program.
One graduate has already landed a full-time job with a landscaping business with two more securing jobs with a local construction company.
