Council supports Frizzell’s 8th straight FCM Board seat pursuit

The City endorsed Councilor Garth Frizzell’s latest pursuit to again sit on the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Board of Directors.

The FCM brings the viewpoints of over 2000 local governments to federal issues.

Frizzell has had a seat for seven straight years and says there’s still work to be done if he’s re-elected.

“These are really exciting times when municipalities have had an attention we’ve never had before and it was a result of a lot of work from a lot of people. It’s exciting and I still want to be apart of that,” he says.

Frizzell adds it’s great to have someone local on the board.

“We’re different from the rest of Canda but we have similarities too. It means a lot to be able to bring our particular Prince George experience into every decision.”

The FCM’s election and AGM will be June 3rd-5th in Winnipeg.
