Bike to Work Week starts Monday

Bike to Work Week gets rolling on Monday.

The annual event encourages you to get out of your car and onto a bike, helping you stay healthy and the environment to stay green.

Not only that, PG Cycling Club Director Kyrke Gaudreau says it’s fun.

“It’s just a great celebration so I’m just excited to go out and meet new cyclists. Last year, I met so many new people. You hear lots of great stories and you just make great contacts. It’s a great way to build community, for sure,” he says.

While he encourages everyone to participate, he’s hoping more new (and young) people get involved this year.

“We know that if we reach high school students and try to promote active transportations and healthy living at a younger age, then they’re more likely to live a healthy lifestyle.”

The City Hall kick-off event is Monday at 6:45 AM.
