Environment Canada says May was fairly dry in the Prince George area.
The daily mean temperature was on par with the 30 year average of 10.8 degrees while the maximum temperature was above seasonal at 17.8.
Warning Preparedness Meteorologist, Armel Castellan says the precipitation totals were also cut in half.
“The preliminary data is 23.5 millimeters with normal usually around 49 which is less than half of the regular amount this time of year.”
The entire province saw 11 days over 20 degrees last month beating the normal mark of 7.
Sunday could reach a high of 30 degrees which could break the single day temperature record of 30.6 which was set in 1942.
