The Prince George Cougars didn’t waste any time signing their goaltender of the future.
General Manager Todd Harkins announced on Monday they signed Taylor Gauthier to a WHL contract.
He was selected 9th overall by the team in May and is a 2015-16 Alberta Cup Champion and two-time AMBHL Goaltender of the Year.
Gauthier posted a 15-1-3 record with a .948 save percentage along with a 1.22 GAA including seven shutouts.
The Cougars expect Gauthier at their training camp in August.
