Market Analyst, Taylor Pardy says there was quite a surge in single detached homes. “There was 15 total in May compared to just 11 last year, on the multi-unit side there was 3 starts and 12 starts for single detached homes.”

Prince George ranked in the bottom compared to similar sized cities with Nanaimo leading the way last month with 79 new starts.

Thar ranks ahead of Vernon and Courtenay for urban centres with a population between 50,000 to 100,000 people.
