World Baseball Challenge adds some BC flavour

The Kamloops Sun Devils will compete at the World Baseball Challenge in Prince George.

The Under 21 squad is pretty well acclaimed according to Tournament Chair, Rick Pattie.

“In 2015 they won the bronze medal at the 2015 Canadian Senior Men’s Championship and they also participated in the Grand Forks International Invitational and did very well there. They always put out a good product and currently boast a great young squad.”

The Sun Devils will play against Japan, The Bahamas, and Calgary-based Sidearm Nation.

The WBC will run from August 12-20 at Citizen Field.

Anyone wanting to volunteer can call 250-613-5071 or visit the World Baseball Challenge Facebook page or by visiting the website at www.worldbaseball.ca.

Tickets and tournament schedule is expected to be released in early July.
