One dead in small plane crash near Green Lake

Details are sparse, but there has been a small plane crash in the South Cariboo.

Roger Hollander, Fire Chief from the 100 Mile House Fire Department says they received word of the crash just before noon.

“We did get called out at 11:50AM there is actually still a crew on site now, there was a report of a small plane crash out at Green Lake, I don’t have any further information just because they are still on scene and it’s still in progress.”

Hollander did confirm that one person was killed in the crash, and another injured. There was two occupants in the aircraft, the surviving victim was extracted and flown to hospital.
