Wilson Square Market expands to Sunday

The Wilson Square Market is expanding.

Yesterday was the first Sunday edition of the market, now to be held every Sunday at the College of New Caledonia.

Market manager Maria Pennock says the Sunday market will take advantage of their hosts and offer a different educational twist each week.

“Well we are going to try to teach people to make bread, also maybe some jam making. We’ve got a lot of farmers and planters; maybe we teach you how to make a balcony garden… we’ve got a large knowledge base to pass on.”

She hopes anyone stuck at work on Saturdays, visits them on Sundays.

“We are giving people more of an opportunity, I think Prince George is big enough to have Saturday and Sunday markets and I think this is going to be amazing.”

Both the Sunday market, and Saturday edition at Pine Centre Mall will be running until Thanksgiving.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
