PG Public Library to unveil MakerMobile

The Bob Harkins in Prince George will be the site of another technological opportunity for local children.

The MakerMobile will touchdown at the Prince George Public Library on Thursday and July 22nd.

Both sessions of the Computer Programming with Scratch events is already full but Communications Coordinator Amy Dhanjal says kids and adults will have just as much fun with another program.

“The MakerMobile Massive Maker Mash Up is from 1:30 to 4:30 and is a free drop-in program open to all kids and their families during those 3 hours.”

Some of the activities include learning how to draw using DrawBot and building pop bottle racers and geodesic domes.

Dhanjal adds the main purpose of the MakerMobile is simple. “It’s to get kids excited about technology and giving them an opportunity to be creative with it by being more hands-on.”

Teenagers will also be able to create websites, edit videos and photos along with mixing audio on their new iMac computer.

The computer includes Adobe Creative Cloud with programs such as Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Animate and Audition.
