Winter Games venue markers unveiled

The venues for the Canada Winter Games will now be clearly marked with a special wooden stand.

The committee unveiled the markers today, which Spokesperson Mike Davis says will be visible at the games venues for years to come.

“15 legacy venue markers will be placed at our official sporting venues, and we’ve worked with some great local companies to make that happen. The work that Trim-Line has done in particular has been phenomenal. So we’re really excited to get these all installed by the end of August, and these will remain in our city for quite some time.”

Davis says Timberspan Wood Product donated the wood to build the structures, while Trim-Line Sign Crafters designed them.

He says the permanent signage is more sustainable, and this is something they’ve been working on for the last year and a half.
