Parks Day across Canada tomorrow

The sun is expected to be out in Prince George tomorrow for Parks Day in Canada.

Local Ranger Dave Merritt says they have family scavenger hunts planned for Purden Lake and Crooked River Provincial Parks.

“We’ve had great turnout in the past on Parks Day across the Omineca region, it’s a very successful event every year.”

Merritt says Parks Day has been celebrated in Canada since 1990.

“We also have our provincial scavenger hunt going on… it’s another great event, but it’s going on year round. So if your family is enjoying the scavenger hunts at Purden and Crooked River, why not look at doing a provincial one as well.”

More information on Parks Day events can be found here.
