Prince George product Alyx Treasure enjoyed success in the qualification round of the women’s high jump at the 2016 Rio Summer Games.
The 24-year old Treasure cleared her first attempts at 1.80, 1.85, and 1.89 meters.
She missed her initial try at 1.92 meters but made good on her second attempt.
Treasure missed her first two attempts at 1.94 meters but made it on her third and final chance to establish a new personal best. Her previous best was 1.93.
The Canadian champion is one of 17 female high jumpers to qualify for Saturday’s final.
