A vehicle theft in progress has a landed a 19-year old Prince George resident in custody Thursday morning.
The arrest was made at 5:45AM after police received a call near a home on the 700 block of 17th Avenue.
A stolen Ford Tempo was spotted near the intersection of 20th Avenue and Redwood Street.
After a failed attempt to pull over the vehicle, it collided with a fence and almost struck a residence on 20th Avenue and Hemlock Street.
Police later took the culprit into custody after being located near a house on Gorse Street.
A first court appearance will be made today (Thu) and several charges are expected to be laid.
