Remuneration and PAC to be talked about at city council tonight

An advisory committee on mayor and council remuneration will make a presentation at tonight’s city council meeting.

The committee is asking no changes be made to the current remuneration rate for 2015, but recommend annual adjustments be made in the following years.

They are also suggesting councillors be reimbursed for using of their own vehicles for out of town councillor work, while the mayor will get $325 a month for using his or her vehicle.

Council will also get an update from administration on the Performing Arts Centre.

And they will see presentations from the Ice Oval Society and Quinn Developments for a seniors’ housing project when the meeting gets underway at six in council chambers.
