City’s Active Living Market takes place at Pine Centre Mall

The City’s Active Living Market is taking place at Pine Centre Mall this weekend.

“We’ve got a full house,” says City communications coordinator Marta Gregor. “We have 40 different organizations attending. We don’t always have this many and we’re pretty excited about it. We have everyone from Special Olympics to CNIB, ski clubs, skating clubs, martial arts clubs. Pretty much you name it, they’re there this weekend.”

The market runs until 6pm today and 11am until 5pm tomorrow. Organizations set up booths throughout the mall and visitors can peruse all the options.

“They’re excited to talk to people about their sport or their activity and the programs for the fall and winter, whether it’s for kids or adults or seniors or a medley of all of those. It’s a great place to go for people looking for fall or winter activities.”

You can also grab a copy of the City’s Active Living Guide.

“We will have them available at the City of Prince George booth which is at centre court. It’s a great resource for the community. It has a lot of city information – aquatics programming, arenas, things like that.”

The guide also contains a comprehensive community contacts list as well as a community organization section.
