If you’re wanting to shred to some personal or important documents you can head to Wal-mart next Saturday.
A public document shredding event is being hosted from 10AM to 2PM and Prince George Crime Stoppers Past President, Jack Hooper says it’s become easy for crooks to get information.
“Some of the bad guys are becoming so savvy they go through the garbage and get all kinds of information and a lot of times we don’t even know the information you’re throwing out.”
Hooper explains the most common documents crooks get ahold of.
“Your gas bill, telephone bill all of that has background information so if I get your account number from your gas bill it’s not very difficult for me to play with your account and profile.”
The service will be provided for the cost of at least a $5 donation to the Prince George Crime Stoppers Society.
