UNBC Timberwolves men’s soccer team has doubled it’s win total from last season thanks to a 2-1 home victory over the Winnipeg Wesmen in Canada West men’s soccer on Sunday.
Francesco Bartolilo put UNBC ahead 1-0 in the 25th minute after a header rippled the onion bag for an early lead.
The advantage would be short-lived when Andrew Kilment potted his 3rd of the season past goalkeeper Mitch MacFarlane to even up the score for Winnipeg.
It would be rookie Owen Stewart who would play hero for UNBC converting from deep inside the box capitalizing on a pass from Tofa Fakunle to seal the win in the 79th minute.
