Major drug bust in Quesnel

A pair of Quesnel men have been arrested following a drug bust by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC.

In January 2016 RCMP opened an investigation on two Quesnel men, aged 29 and 34, which ran through to mid September.

On September 13th both were arrested in Quesnel without incident and search warrants were obtained for their homes and vehicles.

728 grams of meth, 2 ounces of cocaine in both powder and crack form, $109,236 in cash, drug trafficking gear and knives were seized. Several vials of liquids were also found, which are suspected to be steroids.

While neither has known gang ties or criminal records, both are known to police for past history related to alleged drug trafficking and violence.

Both men have been released from custody on promises to appear, with formal charges anticipated by Crown Counsel in the coming months.
