Over 5,200 fans enjoy the Cougars convincing home opening victory

The Prince George Cougars won their home opener for the first time in four years.

The Cougars whipped the Kelowna Rockets 4-1, outshooting the guests 44-16 before 5,282 fans.

P.G. went 3 for 10 on the power play while Kelowna was 0 for 3.

Brad Morrison tallied twice, including the winner early in the 2nd period, and Jan Khomenko notched a third period goal and an assist.

The 5-0 Cougars and 1-3 Rockets meet again tonight (Saturday) at CN Centre.
