Free business plan workshop coming to city tomorrow

If you’ve got a million dollar idea, a non-profit is heading into Prince George tomorrow to make it a reality.

Futurpreneur has been travelling the Province helping people between 18-39 get their businesses started through its Rock my Business Plan program. The organisation has helped create new restaurants, pet stores, and consulting firms to name a few. After the three free sessions, you can apply for $45,000 of financing and a 2-year mentorship.

Spokesperson Chad Fryling says now is the time to stop “thinking” and start “doing.”

“The first thing I do when people show up is congratulate them for actually making it out because that’s what it takes to get things started.”

If you’re planning to go to session 1 – tomorrow at the Hubspace Community at 5 PM – Fryling wants you to show up with your idea ready to share.

“Be prepared to get connected to a bunch of other like-minded people that are up to stuff or want to be up to stuff. You can expect to walk away with a bit of a road map on what the next steps to take are.”

The other two sessions will be Thursday, October 13 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm (virtual session) and Thursday, October 20 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm (in-person session).
