Thanksgiving long-weekend expected to be a cool one

Below seasonal temperatures are in store for Prince George this Thanksgiving long-weekend.

Saturday will see a mix of rain and possible flurries with a high of plus 4.

Things should gradually improve for Sunday and Monday according to Trevor Smith with Environment Canada.

“As we get into Sunday that’s when we see the sun start to appear with a high of plus 4 then a very cool evening dropping down to minus 6 and then Thanksgiving Monday looks like a nice sunny day with a high of plus 6.”

A lot of cold air from the Yukon and Northeastern BC is what’s causing the cooler weather.

Snow has fallen recently in the Bednesti and Vanderhoof areas but Smith believes that will not be the case in Prince George.
