While it didn’t start out like this previous three games against the Wenatchee Wild, the end result was all too familiar for the Prince George Spruce Kings.
Four unanswered goals sunk Prince George during a 4-1 defeat on Friday night at the hands of the Wild.
Tanner Campbell opened the scoring at 14:30 of the 1st period to take a 1-0 lead.
The advantage wouldn’t last long as Matthew Baker evened up the score 85 seconds later on the power-play.
Wenatchee went up for good just before the half-way point of the second period courtesy of Colin Burston who buried home his 9th of the season.
Charlie Combs and Sam Morton added insurance markers in the third period to secure the victory.
The Wild outshot the Spruce Kings 32-19.
Wenatchee went 2 for 4 on the power-play while Prince George was 0 for 5.
Tavin Grant made 28 saves in the loss.
Both teams play again Saturday night at 7PM.
