Prince George could see first snowfall by the end of the week

Some unsettled weather on BC’s south coast could help accelerate Prince George’s first snowfall of 2016.

Armel Castellan with Environment Canada says Prince George could see a chunk of snow by the end of the week.

“Friday the second pulse of storm action on the coast will generate the potential with some indications of near 10 centimetres for Friday so I encourage everyone to stay up to date with the latest forecasts as the models converge to that solution.”

There is even a slight chance the white stuff could make an appearance on Thursday.

“The amounts don’t seem to be very high at the moment but there is a little bit of potential for things to accumulate to some significance but is probably not warning significance, however.”

Temperatures will hover around the freezing mark which means any snow will not turn into rain.
