Cougars make first game in Whitehorse a winning one

The Cariboo Cougars made sure no teams in the BCMML will finish winning every game this season.

Cariboo made short work of the Vancouver North East Chiefs in Whitehorse, disposing them by a 6-1 score on Saturday.

The loss was the first of the season for the 4-1 Chiefs.

Brandon Rowley led the way offensively with four points while Daine Dubois scored twice.

Myles Mattila, Devin Sutton and Jeremy Gervais also potted singles during the victory.

The Chiefs got their lone marker from Liam Ryan.

Marcus Allen made 28 saves in the win as the Cougars improve to 6-1.

Both teams play again on Sunday at 10:45AM from Whitehorse, Yukon.
