$10,000,000 in funding is up for grabs through BC’s Air Access Program.
The program was unveiled last year through the province’s 10-year transportation plan.
Prince George Airport Authority CEO and President, John Gibson says a piece of the pie would help them improve one thing.
“It ends up rehabilitating our infrastructure which is mostly what are capital programs is doing and it allows to do so within the existing sort of airport improvement fund program we have.”
Through the program, the Ministry of Transportation shares costs with public airports such as lighting and navigational systems, terminal building expansion and runway improvements.
