Broncos ride out of PG with come from behind victory

The Swift Current Broncos erased a 4-2 third period deficit to post a 5-4 overtime win over the Prince George Cougars before 2,565 fans at CN Centre.

The Broncos leading scorer, Tyler Steenbergen, notched his 2nd goal of the game 59 seconds in OT after Swift Current rallied with back-to-back goals 53 seconds apart midway thru the final period of regulation.

Tate Olson had a goal and an assist while Shane Collins, Jesse Gabrielle and Justin Almeida also found the back of the net for the 10-2-1 Cougars.

The Broncos are 5-0-0-1 on the road and 8-2-0-1 overall.

PG outshot Swift Current 34-33. Each team scored twice on the power play.

The Cougars return to action Saturday when they host Saskatoon. The Blades lost 9-3 Tuesday in Victoria.
