Deliberately set fire at LC Gunn Park

A fire that broke out at LC Gunn Park yesterday afternoon was deliberately set, according to Prince George RCMP.

They say there were eight to ten different locations of fires along a foot path at the park.

Police are now looking to the public for information on the incident.

The fire has since been contained by fire crews.

It was just after 2pm when Prince George Fire Rescue responded to the blaze.

An air tanker was brought in, making six tanker drops; and two helicopters spent the evening taking water from the Fraser River and dropping it on the fire grounds.

Crews are at the scene again today to put out hot spots.
