Prince George RCMP arrest and charge ‘priority offender’

The Prince George RCMP say they have arrested one of their ‘priority offenders’, who will appear in court later today.

On Sunday, Oct 23rd, local police began an investigation into a commercial break & enter on the 4000 block of 18th Avenue. Sometime overnight somebody access to a secured compound and stole two dirt bikes from the property.

Then on the following Tuesday morning, officers spotted a person operating a dirt bike without a license plate and with a flat tire.

The rider had parked the bike in an apartment building on Ahbau Street and was identified as a prohibited driver. The dirtbike in question was also one of the two stolen on Sunday. He was arrested without incident.

Dean Reginald Anderson, 39, is facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.

The PG RCMP say Anderson is well known to police and as a ‘priority offender’, is a person that has been identified by police and community partners as a high risk to reoffend.
