Donations to Arts Council could send local kids to camp

Your donations to the PG Community Arts Council could help a family in need.

Money donated to the Council’s crowdfunding campaign can be designated for kid’s Pro-D Day or Summer camp programming.

The council works with the Elizabeth Frye community to get subsidies for families who can’t afford these camps.

When kids can attend these camps, it means parents won’t lose a day’s wage looking after the kids. In return, you can also choose a piece of art that corresponds with your donation.

Council Project Manager Lisa Redpath says you can feel good about where your money is going.

“(The kids) are like little sponges when it comes to learning and creativity. To have them here, to hear their laughter and enthusiasm and really to see their creativity to grow and be nurtured is very rewarding.”

The Council is looking to raise $25,000 by December 11th. It raised over $1600 in its first week.
