Blazers burned to the ground by Cariboo

It was a game to remember for Cariboo Cougars rookie defenceman Brennan Malgunas who recorded a 4 point effort in an 8-0 victory over Thompson Blazers on Sunday.

Joel Patsey began the goal-parade teeing off on a Malgunas feed to open the scoring.

The Cougars extended their lead in the opening frame with goals from Malgunas and Ty Maser.

In the middle frame, Brendon Rowley, Hunter Floris and Brandon Dent all potted markers in the second period to put up by an unconverted touchdown.

Mason Richey joined the party in the third with pair of goals, both assisted by Malgunas to complete his big game.

The rookie defender was one of several to have multi-point games for the 11-1 Cougars which also included Richey, Reid Perepeluk, Rowley, and Floris.

Cariboo is off next week and will head to Abbotsford November 12th and 13th to play the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds.
