Woman recovering in hospital after allegedly jumping from car

A local woman is recovering in hospital after allegedly jumping from a moving vehicle this weekend.

On Saturday morning at about 5:15am, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a woman that was suffering from severe injuries. When officers attended the hospital, an intoxicated 24 year old woman was being treated for serious injuries.

The Serious Crime Unit was called in to lead the investigation with a RCMP Collision Reconstructionist assisting. A portion of Giscome Road, where the incident occurred, was closed for about five hours while evidence was gathered.

The driver of the vehicle, a 28 year old man, brought the female to hospital and is cooperating with police. Although the investigation is continuing, so far there is no evidence to suggest that foul play was a factor.

If anyone has any information about this incident, please contact the Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300.
