Operation Red Nose in Prince George kicked off their 2016 campaign with a little help from the Prince George Cougars on Monday.
The Cougars gave use of their dressing room for the announcement and Spokesperson, Andrea Johnson says volunteer numbers have been steady.
“So right now, we have 170 people volunteering which is great. Recruitment is coming together so we are pretty happy with that and obviously we will have more than enough teams for Friday and Saturday.”
This year’s service will begin Friday and Saturday and will run every weekend in December with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Last year’s campaign issued 1059 safe rides which is the third highest total ever in Prince George.
