The Prince George Spruce Kings will have two players trying out for Team Canada West during the World Junior A Challenge in Bonnyville, Alberta.
18-year old Kyle Johnson has 7 goals and 11 assists in 25 games for the Spruce Kings this season after leading the team in scoring with 41 points last season.
17-year old Ethan De Jong currently leads all 1999 born players in the BCHL with 18 points in 24 games for Prince George after spending last year with the Burnaby Winter Club’s Prep program.
Both players will head to Leduc, Alberta for camp from December 5-8.
The World Junior A Challenge runs from December 11 -17 and will be coached by Barry Wolff who is the bench boss for the BCHL’s Coquitlam Express.
