The Westwood Pub Devils crushed the Northland/Nissan Assault 16-7 in PG Senior Lacrosse to grab a 2-0 lead in the best of seven final. Parker Woolcox tallied five goals for the Devils, who are 17-0 on the season. Westwood Pub has outscored its opposition 89-31 in five playoff games.
–The PG Thunderbirds host the 18-team Provincial U-16 Minor Girls “B” Softball Championship atFreeman Park. Play begins Friday at 8am with the gold medal game Sunday at 4pm.
–Superior Fencing Reds whipped Custom Edge Sports 12-4 in Spruce City Men’s Fastball first game in the best of 3 final. Kyle Garnot hit 2 home runs and Nolan Teegee went 4/4 with 3 rbi’s and scored 2 runs.
