The City of Prince George has recently laid out its plans for the rest of its term in a one-page document.
The 2016-2018 Corporate Plan individually shares the City’s vision, goals, focus areas, and corporate strategies in four key area: the environment, city government, social development, and economic development.
During Monday night’s council meeting, Councillor Jillian Merrick called the plan the “most important document of the year for the public.”
“If you or a member of the community is interested in what the city is doing and that it’s making a priority, and what the plans are for the rest of the term, that one-page document really lays it out.”
This piece links back to the MyPG community consultation done in 2010, which “kind of got lost in the last term but has really been revived as for the foundation of community goals in this term,” says Merrick.
While she believes everything on the page is important, she says the healthy lifestyles and parks and recreation priorities are most dear to her.
