PG City Council back at the meeting table, getting ready for budget talks

Prince George City Council meets again this evening.

There are a few possible rezoning’s could allow a mini storage facility near Monterey Road & Highway 97, and a children s life skills training building on Preston Road.

With budget talks beginning next week, staff is sharing new ideas for consideration.

These include a new program to teach students about local government and an update to the Four Seasons pool replacement plan.

There will also be presentations from a representative of Immaculate Conception School on student safety and from the Railway and Forestry Museum, which is seeking funds to help with the planned rail car shelter.

Tonight’s meeting begins at 6 PM in the City Chambers.

Single Rollover in Quesnel Claims Life of One Man

RCMP found a 61-year-old man unconscious in the driver’s seat of the SUV. Police and paramedics on the scene attempted life-saving measures, but the man tragically succumbed to his injuries, and police were unable to resuscitate him.
