PG pumps some of the cheapest gas in BC

The long weekend must be close, because the price of gas has been jumping around the province.
Prices are holding firm in Prince George, with Costco still the lowest at 122.9, and most other places averaging 125.9 a litre.
 Here are some prices from elsewhere around BC
Smithers – 136.9 – 143.9
Terrace – 138.9
Prince Rupert – 142.9
Fort Nelson – 152.9
Kamloops – 127.9 -131.9
Kelowna – 131.9
Vancouver – 133.9 – 144.9
Victoria – 131.9
However, the price of world oil is down substantially to under $100 a barrel.
According to gas price analyst Dan McTague with TomorrowsGasPricesToday.com – “The refiners are making money hand over fist, those who are being bludgeoned are the gasoline stations and while we may not want to cry river for them, if you happen to be an independent, you’re pretty much finished.”
According to the website, Abbotsford is the cheapest, at $1.21 a litre.

Comox search and rescue aircraft perform night rescue near Fort Nelson

An injured horseback rider was rescued in a remote area of Northeastern BC by search and rescue aircraft from Comox on Vancouver Island. The incident took place late Tuesday evening in the wilderness 185 km east of Fort Nelson.
