PG Sports—Thursday, August 7

The Prince George Joe Martin and Sons Mosquito AAA Knights baseball team competes (Friday to Sunday) at the Provincial 9 and 10 year olds championship in Duncan. 10 teams are entered with two pools of five. The top four advance to the semi-finals.

–PGARA holds the Tri-Cities Invitational this weekend
with racing on the track Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 2. Time trials will go an hour earlier.

–The Ladies Simon Fraser will be featured at the PG Golf and Curling Club. The 36 hole tournament will be played Saturday and Sunday.

–The Cariboo Cougars will look at prospects at their camp this weekend at the PG Coliseum. Drills begin Friday at 4 with main camp games set for Sunday at 8am and Noon.

–High Jumper Alyx Treasure of Prince George is one of 35 track athletes on the Canadian team that competes at the 2014 Under 23 North America, Central America and Caribbean (NACAC) Championships Friday to Sunday in Kamloops. The 22-year-old Treasure is coming off a national title in the women’s high jump at the Canadian Track and Field Championships in Moncton, NB.
