Copper Pig lives on with new BBQ sauce at Home Sweet Home

The Copper Pig lives on, after their new barbecue sauce line was unveiled Wednesday at Home Sweet Home grocery shop.
Kitchen Manager Jeff Vandooyeweert (pictured) says they made their special sauce themselves right at the grocery shop.
“It has a Kansas City-style swing to it, making it unique to us,” he says. “Amazing flavours, smokey, a little bit of garlic.”
Copper Pig owner Tyler Burbee says the owners of Home Sweet Home opening up their kitchen to give his staff a venue put out a product shows the downtown community in Prince George is tightly knit.
“Both ladies spent a lot of time in our restaurant, we like to work with them, they’re around the corner, we like to share lunches with them, so it is a home, absolutely,” he says.
He expects the Copper Pig will be back open for business by the middle of next month, after a fire forced him to shut down while repairs were made.
For now, you can buy their barbecue sauce at Home Sweet Home on 3rd Ave.
