Bond, Morris and Rustad re-elected

For the first time in 65 years, a minority government could be coming to BC.

Longtime Liberal MLA Shirley Bond won her riding for the fifth time and will once again represent the Prince George-Valemount riding.

Bond had 10,094 votes with all 83 polls reporting.

NDP candidate Natalie Flecther had 5,025 tallies while Nan Kendy of the BC Green Party had 2,080 votes.

Mike Morris was re-elected for a second term in the Prince George-Mackenzie riding with 9,674 votes with all 75 polls reporting.

NDP candidate Bobby Deepak had 5,319 votes while Hillary Crowley of the BC Greens has just 1,880 votes.

In Nechako Lakes, Liberal MLA John Rustad won with 5,108 votes while NDP candidate Anne Marie Same fell short with 2,784.

Douglas Norman Gook of the BC Greens had 843 votes with all 65 polls reporting.

In Stikine, Doug Donaldson of the NDP was re-elected with 4,281 votes.

Wanda Good of the BC Liberals came in second at 3,296 votes.

Christian Heritage Party candidate Rod Taylor pulled up the rear with 781 tallies.

Provincially, the BC Liberals has 43 candidates elected followed by the NDP with 41 and the Green Party with 3.
