The largest crowd to ever watch a Prince George Cougars Intra-squad game turned out at CN Centre. 1,021 fans attended the Team Black 10-3 victory over Team White. 44 players participated in the game with 11 of them scoring at least one goal. Another six players sat out. The Cougars cut 15 players today to reduce their roster to 35 (4 goalies, 13 defencemen and 18 forwards).

–The P.G. Cougars start their pre-season schedule this weekend in St. Albert against Red Deer Saturday and Medicine Hat Sunday. The Cougars host Edmonton in pre-season play September 5th and 6th.

–The Prince George Spruce Kings will start their training camp Friday at the PG Coliseum. About 40 players are expected to attend.

–The Cariboo Cougars anticipate 40 players to their main training camp that begins Friday at CN Centre.

–The University of Calgary Dinos beat the UNBC Timberwolves men’s soccer team 3-2 in an exhibition CIS game in Calgary. The UNBC men host TRU in pre-season play Saturday and Sunday at 2 at Rotary.

–The UNBC women’s soccer team wraps up its pre-season schedule with road games Saturday and Sunday vs. TRU in Kamloops.
