Police had to request helicopter support to get a wanted man back into custody.
Dustin Cecil Murray, 29, was wanted on two counts of assault and four of failing to comply with probation.
Murray was found in an apartment building on the 2400 block of Upland Street early yesterday afternoon. In an attempt to evade police, he went up onto the roof of the building. Attending officers requested support from the RCMP’s Air 4 helicopter, which arrived within minutes and forced Murray back into the building where he was arrested.
The Prince George RCMP would like to thank those who assisted with the investigation. Without the help from the public, investigations such as this one would not be nearly as successful as they often are.
