City of Prince George crews are continuing work on a project to connect two major wells.
It’s part of an effort to improve the reliability of the local water supply.
Everything has gone smoothly so far with the exception of some minor issues. “We have heard from a few residents they have experienced some cloudiness and darkening in the water and we would just remind them to run the line until it’s clear,” says Mike Kellett, senior communications officer.

The water remains safe to drink according to the city.
Some people have experienced low water pressure while showering during the water ban.
The ban took effect at noon on Monday and will remain in place until Friday evening
