PG Police unveil more details on Pine Centre Mall incident

The Prince George RCMP are calling this morning’s shooting incident at the Pine Centre Mall a robbery.

Just before 4 am, police received a weapons call along the 3000 block of Massey Drive.

When officers arrived they discovered that a masked suspect drove a vehicle through an entrance of the mall.

Police believe the suspect was accessing a store when security arrived.

The male allegedly fired a shot from a gun at a security guard (who was not injured) and then fled the property on foot.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male
  • Wearing a black hoody, dark blue jeans, white and grey shoes along with a white mask

The vehicle used is described as:

  • Ford F-350 with dual rear wheels
  • 4 doors
  • White in colour
  • Has a flat deck instead of a box

The truck is believed to have been stolen.

All stores inside the mall are closed while stores located just outside the mall are open.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
