Prince George Secondary School is one of three emergency reception centres set up in Prince George

The City  may end up hosting thousands of evacuees fleeing fires in the Cariboo

The school can host about 180 people if needed.
Businesses and residents alike are coming together to support those being evacuated to the city.

“It’s great to see. The public facilities in town – the University steps up immediately. PGSS were here today to set up beds. People are doing whatever it takes. It’s terrific.” Rob van Adrichem, Director of External Relations for the City
